Visa Process
It is required to submit officially attested education certificates (including transcripts) to the Office of Admissions. Students need to submit the documents before the beginning of the semester. Students whose credentials are from outside of the UAE may be given an extension until the end of the first semester. JNU RAK will also arrange Student Visas under the university’s sponsorship, which is renewable every year.

Admission Notification & Document Submission
- Receive admission notification.
- Submit required documents for visa/entry permit application.
Entry Permit & Travel Arrangements
- Entry permit application is processed.
- Upon approval, book airline tickets as per academic session dates.
Travel & Immigration Formalities
- Keep essential documents safe during travel.
- Ensure the passport is stamped with the entry permit upon arrival.
Submit Entry Permit
- Submit stamped entry permit to initiate residence visa processing.
Medical Screening
- A designated medical center is assigned for mandatory examination.
- Upon clearance, the visa process continues.
Emirates ID Application
- JNU RAK applies for Emirates ID after medical clearance.
- Students must visit a fingerprint scanning center.
- Emirates ID is sent to JNU RAK upon completion.
Medical Insurance
- JNURAK issued along with Emirates ID
- Provides coverage for medical needs during visa validity.
Visa Stamping
- Final e-visa is received within 7-10 working days.
