Student Support Services Policy

1 Introduction and Purpose

Jaipur National University – Ras Al Khaimah Campus (JNURAK) is committed to providing a comprehensive range of student support services to ensure students’ academic success and overall wellbeing.

2 Scope and Applicability

This policy applies to all students enrolled at JNURAK, as well as academic and administrative staff involved in delivering student support services. It covers all services that support academic progression, health, accommodation, student engagement, and overall student wellbeing.

3 Student Support Services

JNU-RAK provides a range of support services to ensure students’ academic success and wellbeing. These include:

3.1 Academic Advising

Faculty advisors through Mentor - Mentee system assist students with course selection, progression requirements, and addressing academic difficulties to ensure successful completion of their programs.

3.2 Counselling Services

Confidential counselling services are available to support students in managing personal, emotional, and psychological challenges, with referrals provided when necessary through their Mentor-Mentee system.

3.3 Health Services

The university maintains access to basic health services on campus and facilitates referrals to external healthcare providers to ensure students’ physical well-being.

3.4 Student Accommodations

On-campus hostel facilities are available, subject to availability and compliance with established hostel rules and regulations.

3.5 Sports and Recreation

Facilities for indoor and outdoor sports are provided to encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students.

3.6 Student Clubs and Societies

A variety of cultural, literary, scientific, and recreational clubs are available to foster social engagement, leadership development, and community participation.

3.7 Student Wellbeing

Student wellbeing is embedded across all support services through a holistic approach that addresses psychological, social, physical, intellectual, digital, and environmental aspects. The university promotes mental health awareness, inclusivity, active lifestyles, academic development, responsible use of technology, and a safe and sustainable campus environment, ensuring that students receive balanced and continuous support throughout their academic journey.

4 Governance, Monitoring, and Continuous Improvement

JNU-RAK ensures the effective delivery of student support services through designated departments. Feedback is collected through surveys and student engagement mechanisms to evaluate service effectiveness.
